Hospital Check-Up

Well, today I went to the hospital for a check-up.
I am 24 weeks and 3 days...
I had the glucose drink for gestational diabetes, and YAY I was under the limit, and that makes me REALLY happy.
I had gestational diabetes with Mikayla, and whilst it was only diet controlled, I was forever pricking my finger, and got the occasional dizzy spell.
Anyway, what else?
Oh, I have to see a specialist for an ultrasound. Seems im too 'large' to see baby's heart in detail, and they just want to make sure its ok... not that there appears to be a problem.
Now I have a question... do I want to try and find out what the baby is?
With Mikayla, we couldnt see as her legs were crossed. Then I had to have another ultrasound as there were 'spots' on the scan... we found out at the repeat scan.
With Seb, his legs were closed too. But he was huge, so I had a repeat scan around 30 weeks to see just how big he was... and we found out what he was.
So do I really WANT to know what this one is??? So thats something to think about for the next fortnight.
Not much else is happening in my world.... but here are a couple of LO's to share.
Have a great day :)
Mandz

Heya. .

Seems that I only get to catch you on here now! And the banner is gone :(

But anyhow.

Glad there is no GD this time around. Sis had it with Miss Moo but not with Spewcus. . even though she was bigger then and possibly still following the same diet but not as STRESSED. . so that might be a trigger. Who knows.

The practical side of me, says FIND OUT - as then if bubs is a boy you have Sebs hand me downs. . if baby is a girl, you can ditch some stuff and make room for sweet clothes!

Though the whole excitement of waiting to see would be great too!

Chat soon, I hope! haha

Happy to hear all is well.

Me I'd want to wait to see what it is, my DH is the opposite though. So heaven help us if we have kids!

More fab work, hope you are good too.

Hey Mandz - glad to hear the GD has kept away this time. I had it first time round, but not second time, which was nice, cos it was a PITA!!

I'd find out what you're having ... only cos I HATE waiting :D

Speak to you soon,
Ness.

Difficult question for me with no kids - but I still think find out. Some suprises are nice like scrapping RAKs but sometimes its easier to be prepared.
