Ok, I have a question.
When we had Sebastian, my partner and I found it SO difficult to choose boys names.
The only name we could agree on was Sebastian.
My family HATED the name, so we decided to think some more.
The ONLY other name we came up with was Lucas...
We ended up calling our son, Sebastian Lucas, because altogether, we had 5 kids, and we didnt want any more.
Then the unthinkable happened, and here we are again.
We dont know what sex the baby is, but I think we may have a girls name.
But what if it is a boy?
Do you think it would be weird to name our baby Lucas if we had another boy?

I don't see a problem with it at all - after all how often do we use our middle names - and it will them something special to share.
Hello Mandz. How have you been. I haven't been on the forum for quite a while but hope to soon get back there. I shouldn't even be awake now but my youngest went to the Elton John concert and I'm playing the worrying mum role. As for your question I often wonder why we worry about what people think of us and what we do. I know they mean well but they seem to plant a seed of doubt in our minds and make it hard for us to decide on what we like or dislike. Maybe it's my old age talking but I believe that whatever you choose to do should be because that is what you want. No it's not odd to name your baby Lucas if it is a boy. Doesn't matter Mandz if it's Sebastian's middle name. We all go by our first names. But always remember to follow your hearts.

I love the name Lucas, my DHs name is Luke and I always thought the name Lucas was nice. I say go with whatever you want, its your baby, your decision..

The only suggestion I have is MAYBE swapping the spelling to Lukas so they are semi different!
And then we wont get confuzzled with my Lucas. . .
Lucky our Makayla and Mikayla's have different spelling - LOL
But like I have said before, I have never heard you refer to Seb as 'Sebastian Lucas' . . . so I dont see the big deal in it all.
But do keep an eye out for boy names, as there might be something that jumps at you!
I still think a mini seb would be sweet as an Angus - listen up Mandz DH - I think Bassy and Gussy would be sweet!!
I think it is your baby and your choice! If you like it, and it feels right do it :) You never know even if you choose a name, when your looking at that beautiful little bub all wrapped up tight, a name might just come to you.
Good luck, and btw I don't know if you should find out the sex, maybe a surprise would be cool. But like I said up top, if it feels right do it. If I ever have a bub I am going to wait.
Lucas is a lovely name!
DHs grandmother name was Olive. We were expecting a boy and planning on calling his middle name Oliver. We had a girl!! So her middle name is Olive. But I htink if we had a boy now we would still call him Oliver. It's not weird.
my fave boy name is JAI (rhymes with eye)
we had a really hard time trying to come up with a boys name too, and we think that this on is a girl, way too similar pregnancy with Charlotte.
Whatever you do choose remember it's your's and hubbys choice. No one else should have a say.
